I officially accepted the offer to go to Columbia University today. They required a $1000 "acceptance deposit" to be applied to tuition (or profit, should I flake on them).
I am sitting at about 50% panic attack, 50% orgasm about this decision. It is a lot of $$, and a lot of change- I have only ever lived in NM except for short durations in CA and AK. But it is also very exciting and pretty close to exactly what my dreams are in a graduate program.
