Mar. 8th, 2007 10:19 amThe rules:
1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
2. I will respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better. If I already know you well, expect the questions may be a little more intimate!
3. You will update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.
1. Where/how did you and Kelly meet and did you like him immediately?
Kelly and I met at the Omni/Jeff mutual birthday party last year in March. I sat down on the blue couch at JPL next to him and he didn't say anything to me for about 20 minutes, so I thought he was either really shy or kind of a jerk. I went and changed (it was very warm) and then we started talking. He said some things that indicated that he might be a Republican, which made me very wary.
We kept talking for an hour or so, and I ended up with my head resting on his lap. He was touching my face very softly, and I figured that even if he was a Republican (which he is) he couldn't be entirely evil if he could touch my face like he was. Then he told his "burnination" story (of how he severley hurt himself as a child by playing with fire) and got major sympathy points from me, because I'm a sucker for a sad story.
Then... he pulled out the ice. I didn't like him immediately, since I thought he was being rude, but I grew to like him over that evening. When he came by that Sunday with a made up excuse (some movie) to see me, I definitely had a thing for him.
2. Are you religious or spiritual?
There's no real long way to put this, so, no. I've been an atheist for about 8 years now. While it is in my opinion very important to listen to multiple perspectives and garner insights on life from different viewpoints, I've never been able to make the "leap of faith" required for belief in a deity or the supernatural. As for the whole "spiritual but not religious" idea- I have no idea. So many definitions of that construct are flying around that I wouldn't feel comfortable labeling myself in that group. I don't tend to find myself spiritual, though, based on what I've heard of the word.
3. If you were guaranteed perfect happiness but you had to live in a hot air balloon to get it, would you?
Of course! If I were guaranteed perfect happiness, then any qualms I would have about my ability to be happy in a hot air balloon would be vanquished. I would make sure that the guarantee included freedom to leave without penalty if I ended up not being happy living there, as well as compensation for working time lost, so it really seems like a win-win to me. Especially if the balloon contained a very large bed.
4. What are you studying? (I am assuming you are a techie, but if not what do you do?)
Yes, I am indeed a techie! I'm majoring in Biology with an emphasis in Environmental Science. I love ecology! Some aspects of Tech's idea of biology frustrate me (a very molecular/micro approach) but overall I'm pretty happy with the department and the school in general.
5. What is your favorite kind of cheese?
I'm not a cheese snob at all. So... provolone or cheddar works for me!

Date: 2007-03-21 04:18 pm (UTC)2) .Since you didnt specify the term "drug" I am going to go with the idea of "controled substance" at ehich point I would have to choose speed so I would get more done in a day (more like 5 days) otherwise the drug would be my current one of choice caffiene.
3) The name Janet isnt a bad one I think, or maybe Princess Consuela Bananahammock, on the breast question, if my build was the same as now I would rather have medium or large breasts, if I were built like my sisters (tall and thin) I would have rather have small or medium so as to not look top heavy.
4) In the past year I have fallen in love (a huge emotional change) In the past 5 years I have redidicated myself to furthering my education.
5) Librarian, totally. Who knows what the hooker may have in the terms of disease and who knows the the librarian has in the way of kinks?
